Houston commercial photographer Jay Stevens has been serving the Greater Houston Area for over a decade. Stevens started as an apprentice to a portrait photographer where he began to learn how to photograph people.

Following this apprenticeship, Stevens worked for several magazines where he was encouraged to push the boundaries of his photography work both in style and content. While at the magazines he also had the opportunity to observe the work of many excellent commercial photographers in Houston as well as shooters throughout Texas.

After several years as an in-house editorial photographer, Stevens began freelancing in Texas. As with most Houston photographers, his work included photographing people. And, as you may know, the city has many excellent restaurants and Stevens developed a knack for shooting food.

He also enjoys shooting pro bono projects, especially for Star of Hope Mission.
